What aftercare comes with a build in Erskine?
Every Cunningham builds (joinery) project carries a 12 month workmanship guarantee. A free check after installation is included, backed by responsive support after the job.
Ask what a kitchen installation Erskine guarantee covers before the job starts, not after. The work and the products used are usually guaranteed separately. Get it in writing, even informally.
What is the 4-year rule for planning permission in Scotland?
It refers to enforcement time limits against unauthorised development, not to a shortcut around planning permission. It also has nothing to do with the building warrant, which is a separate system. Consent obtained properly is always cheaper than a problem discovered by a buyer's solicitor.
What holds a trussed roof together?
Trusses are stiff in one direction and floppy in the other. Bracing is what ties them into one roof, and without it a row of trusses can topple like dominoes.
Cunningham builds (joinery) handles truss erection and bracing as part of its roofing and timber frame work. Spacing, fixings to the wall plate and the bracing pattern all follow the truss designer's layout. Everything above it, from sarking to slates, depends on it being right.
What should you expect from decking and doors in Erskine?
The damage happens on the side you cannot see. Treated timber, air under the deck, a membrane and a fall away from the house make the difference.
Cunningham builds (joinery) installs decking and fits doors. Most door problems trace back to a frame that is not square. Hanging one is a joiner's job, not a quick screw in copyrights.
Cunningham builds (joinery) answers enquiries from Erskine and the surrounding areas within 24 hours. Ring 07427 291 143 to arrange loft conversions.
